The first meeting is always free of charge unless we have specifically stated otherwise and there is no obligation on either side to proceed further.
After the initial consultation, and when you have agreed to work with us, we will agree how you will pay for our services; whether you pay a fee, or whether our costs are to be met out of the cost of any financial product you undertake to invest in (adviser charging). You will always receive written confirmation and be told about any fees or adviser charges levied prior to any investment being undertaken.
1) 3% Initial
2) 0.5% to 1% Ongoing
To give you guidance as to what these percentage charges look like in monetary terms;
If you invest £100,000 in an Investment Bond you would pay an initial adviser charge of 3.0% of the amount invested, i.e. £3000.00 and an on-going adviser charge of 0.5% of the value of the fund; approximately £500.00 per annum.
(The Ongoing Adviser Charge noted above is to pay for the provision of on-going recommendations and management of your investments as well as annual reviews which will be prepared to meet your bespoke needs at the time of the review).
2) Alternatively, if you prefer to pay us as an hourly rate then we charge £150 per hour for an IFA’s time and £75 per hour for an Administrator’s time.
3) Fees – you can pay us a fee as an alternative to the previous two charges and you could select a pre-agreed fixed amount or be charged as an hourly rate per 2) above. A fee agreement will be provided that will stipulate what work is to be carried out and what our remuneration will be for the work undertaken. Work on your behalf will not commence until you have signed the fee agreement. In this way each party knows what is expected. Whether you pay by way of adviser charging or fees will be a matter of discussion and agreement, and no charges for fees will be made without prior notification to you in writing and receipt of written acceptance.
4) Combination, again, to suit your requirements you can select a combination of both adviser charging and fees.
We will inform you of our charges, both as a percentage and a monetary figure, prior to us completing the investment on your behalf. All the above will be fully explained to you as part of our initial consultation meeting and as set out in our initial disclosure /client agreement documents.
